family camping 1946

young family of five
the span of years causes separation
day will come when Jah remembers
(Job 14:14, 15)

20 x 12 acrylic on canvas.
in personal collection

This is a historical rendering of a family trip to Cleveland in 1946.
It is a composite from 3 different photographs taken on the same day at the same location.
Of course the photos were in black and white, so the colors are my guess as to historical accuracy.

mass of tulips

tulips in vermillion shades
placed to grace light streaming in

Entitled ‘Dora’, named after my wife’s grandmother,
which is one of the photos on the console top. Jenn loved these
flowers and wanted a more permanent version of them.

Daisy Fields

Wow … this year has started out bad. My wife and I have been sick for the last three weeks. I am finally starting to recover and be able to get back to doing some work. Here is a ‘design’ item that I did for our house. Later I will post two small paintings that I have completed this week. I have also setup a new studio (still trying to get organized).
